Easter Sunday During The Pandemic
Easter Sunday Durning The Pandemic
These days things are anything but normal. This year Easter will definitely look a little different, but one thing is for sure it is still happening.
I don't know about you, but Easter has always been my favorite holiday. I love picking out a new Easter dress, spending time with family, eating a great meal, drinking some good wine, searching for all the Easter eggs, and of course all the best Easter candy! One year for Easter, my grandpa even gave me a real bunny in my Easter basket! Ive always had the best Easter memories.
With all of that being said, this year we will have to make new "different" Easter memories. One way to do that is to still have an Easter dinner with your quarantine buddies! To pair with that Easter dinner we are so excited to drink the new 2019 vintage of the Whispering Angel Rosé!
Whispering Angel Rosé is known as the most famous rosé in the world! Whispering Angel consists of a blend primarily of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan, Vermentino. They harvest from sunrise to noon. The grapes are then sorted optically. Then they begin to destem, and slightly crush the grapes to avoid oxidation. After this process, both the free run juices and the pressed juices are vinified in stainless steel barrels.
Whispering Angel Rosé is a very, very pale pink coral color. Tasting notes: aromas of juicy ripe strawberry, white peach, passion fruit, and lemon peel. To the palate: bone dry, layers of white peach, cherry, tangerine, and citrus, with hints of exotic spices, passion fruit and mango. White peach, dried mango, and white cherry all ride out on a wave of honey tinged with sage. A lingering river-stone and grapefruit blossom for the after taste! We paired this with our Easter Sunday ham!
Check out this recipe we found for a Easter Sunday ham by Martha Stewart! Perfect for size for everyone that you are quarantined with and takes 1 and a half hours to cook!

Even though we are #socialdistancing this Easter Sunday, it is important to keep some normalcy! We will all be together again so until then wash your hands and drink your wine at home!! We hope you enjoy your holiday and everyone is staying safe and healthy!
